Homeaid

CrestWood’s support of HomeAid began with the Hurricane Katrina Disaster in 2006, when the call came out to help rebuild New Orleans, CrestWood initiated a program to match donations of up to $25,000 in their sales centers, which guest, homebuyers, employees, and trade partners responded to overwhelmingly.

CrestWood was honored to match their donations which were used to help support the HomeAid Gulf Coast Rebuilding Fund, and the building of the first Post-Katrina “Sustainable Building” Project, a 4,000 sf home to house families displaced during the disaster. Seeing the great work in New Orleans by the homebuilding industry through HomeAid, Terry Kent soon joined the HomeAid IE chapters Board of Directors, later serving as Chapter President for two years, as well as Builder Captain on the Veronica’s Home of Mercy 1 & 2 and Casa Merced 3 projects providing a combined total of more than 125 long term shelter beds in the Inland Empire.
