Crestwood Exceeds Homeowners’ Expectations Time and Time Again

Seven years ago, Stuart and Linda White decided it was time for something new. A bigger floor plan, a different location and, most importantly, a home that was all theirs and brand new.

The Whites toured community after community during the summer of 2000. Then they discovered Summit Ridge Estates by Crestwood Communities in Yucaipa. They found what they were looking for in a 2,500-square-foot home with five bedrooms, a half-acre home site and beautiful mountain views.
 
“We fell in love with the floor plan, but we didn’t understand the quality that was behind it at the time,” said Stuart, a professor of law at Westwood College and adjunct professor at San Bernardino Community College. “We hadn’t heard of Crestwood, and we were lucky that someone recommended them.”
 
Before closing on the home, Stuart asked a friend for his opinion. A contractor for 30 years, the friend toured the new home and pointed out the various ways in which Crestwood had gone above and beyond with careful craftsmanship and quality construction and design.
 
“He walked through saying, ‘You see this? They didn’t have to do that. It’s above code’,” said Stuart. “He knew what he was looking for. If it was impressive to him, it was good enough for me.”
 
The Whites closed escrow on their Summit Ridge Estates home, and they haven’t regretted a minute of it ever since. The homeowners say Crestwood has been there for them every step of the way with responsive service and genuine care.
 
“The one thing that puts Crestwood above every other builder out there is customer service,” said Stuart. “And customer service is what makes a company a company. Anything we’ve needed, they’ve always been there. They just want us to be happy.
 
“If I ever have to move again, I would look for a Crestwood home first. You get your money’s worth, and it all comes back in customer service. You want a builder who will be there when you need them, and Crestwood will be.”
Today, the Whites and their family, including sons Miles, 24, and Tyler, 16, and daughter Lyndsey, 14, continue to enjoy their Crestwood home.

“You walk in, and it just strikes you,” said Linda, a registered nurse, of the floor plan. “There’s a cathedral ceiling, a wide living room and arches leading into the family room. Everything is well positioned and logically arranged.”

Nearly 2 ½ Years Later, Gibsons Still Sold on Crestwood Communities

As Larry and Belinda Gibson planned their new life together in 2005, they needed a home sized to suit their soon-to-be blended family and located within the boundaries of the schools their children already attended in Ontario. When the couple discovered Camden Collection by Crestwood Communities, it seemed that their dream was coming true, only to find that the neighborhood was already sold out following a lottery!

 
“We had looked at resales throughout the area, but we saw tremendous value in the brand new homes of Camden Collection,” recalled Larry Gibson. “Their prices were only $10,000 to $20,000 higher than the 20-year-old homes we were considering, and the largest Camden Collection floorplan was absolutely perfect for us.”
 
Belinda Gibson concurred, “If we had a vision of the home we were looking for, this Crestwood home was it, with almost 2,800 square feet, enough bedrooms for us and our kids upstairs and a guest room downstairs. Plus a very large homesite. We really wanted this house.”
 
Sometimes things are simply meant to be. The Gibsons soon got a call from a Crestwood sales representative saying that another family had dropped out, and the home they wanted was available after all.
 
“We got pre-approved right away through one of my grown daughters, who is a loan officer, and we called Crestwood back to say we would take the house,” said Larry Gibson. “Belinda had sold her house so we were eager to move in, and Crestwood was very accommodating to our wishes.”
 
Two and one-half years later, the Gibsons are still thrilled with their Camden Collection home, along with Larry’s son, Shawn Gibson, 18, and Belinda’s two youngest children, John Ferranto, 18, and Courtney Ferranto, 15.
 
“Our home purchase from Crestwood Communities was a slam dunk,” said Larry Gibson, who operates an equipment and party rental business in San Dimas. “Their people are wonderful to work with, and everything ran smoothly. Whenever we called with a question or the slightest customer service item, they were on it right away.”

Added Belinda Gibson, who works in the tax management area for ADP, “Buying a home from Crestwood was so easy. They were always there if we needed anything. When we moved in, Crestwood gave us a binder with all our homes’ colors, home maintenance recommendations, contact information for all the subcontractors and more. That’s been a big help.”

Crestwood Communities’ Fairhaven Felt Just Right for Robersons

Brent and Kristin Roberson were so sure that Crestwood Communities’ Fairhaven in Rancho Cucamonga was the right neighborhood for them that the couple never looked anywhere else!
 
“Kristin and I lived about two miles away in a Rancho Cucamonga townhome, so we were already sold on the area,” recalled Brent Roberson, who is branch manager for a bank in Glendora. “We started driving past the Fairhaven site as soon as they broke ground and got more excited every time we went by.”
 
Noted Kristin Roberson, who teaches at Options for Youth Charter School in Rancho Cucamonga, “Right away, we knew we wanted to buy from Crestwood Communities. You can tell that this is a family-owned company. They take pride in building quality homes and going that extra mile to make homebuyers happy.”
 
The Robersons selected Residence Two, a two-story floorplan sized at just over 2,300 square feet of living space. Fairhaven also offers four other two-story plans and a single-level plan.
 
“Our Residence Two home suits us perfectly, and now we have a yard to enjoy,” said Brent Roberson. “We chose the Santa Barbara exterior with its arched entryway and big arched front windows – very elegant and dramatic. Inside, more archways are among the many classy touches. We also took advantage of some of the attractive upgrades Crestwood offered, including granite kitchen countertops and dark cherry cabinets.”
 
“The overall flow is very nice, and this is a great home for entertaining,” said Kristin Roberson. “Brent and I hosted our first dinner party recently. One of our favorite things about this plan is the optional master bedroom retreat. That’s something we especially wanted in our new home.”
 
Fairhaven’s intimate 66-home environment is another plus for the Robersons.
 
“We like the small community feel of Fairhaven and the fact that there are no homeowners association fees or Mello-Roos taxes,” said Brent Roberson. “At our townhome neighborhood, the association fees seemed to go up every year.”
 
According to the Robersons, purchasing a home from Crestwood Communities was an outstanding experience every step of the way, including walk-throughs both before they moved in and about a month later.
 
“Everybody at Crestwood was so helpful and easy to work with,” said Kristin Roberson. “Not just the sales team, but the superintendents, customer service and all the corporate people we came into contact with. If we had a question or concern, they always got back to us fast. We didn’t feel as if Crestwood was just selling us a product, but that people truly cared they were providing our home.”

As Fairhaven residents, the Robersons enjoy shopping, dining and movies at nearby Victoria Gardens and Ontario Mills. They also like having their favorite Orange County destinations, including beaches and theme parks, freeway-close from their new home.
